It’s almost summertime! Kids are on the last leg of school, college students are heading to summer time jobs, and the weather is becoming consistently nice outside! We all want to maximize these summer months to their fullest potential, but sometimes we don’t know how to get started. Here are some great suggestions for you to get out with your family and friends to kick-off your summer.

  1. Drive-in Movies

Do you ever have a desire for a blast to the past? Going to the drive-in theater is a great way to do so. Summer is a great time to grab some friends or your family and enjoy a movie in the car! It’s a great time to share with others and relatively affordable.

  1. Make homemade ice cream

Food in the summer always seems to be a little bit better than any other time of the year. Sometimes you have to shake up your menu and try something new.   1. Go to a park

Being outdoors is always a great option to enjoy some down time and get out in nature.   1. Attend a concert

Thankfully, Indianapolis is always a hot spot for a lot of concerts in the summer! With popular spots like White River State Park and Klipsch Music Center, you can enjoy your concert outside. With a lot of artists rolling into town, be on the lookout for music you enjoy.

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching! During this busy season and our busy schedules, sometimes these great holidays sneak up on us! If you’ve forgotten about Mother’s Day or needs some ideas to celebrate your mom, here are some great ideas.

  1. Go to an Indianapolis Indians Game

Does your mom love sports or need a fun day of relaxation and fun? Going to an Indianapolis Indians game is a great choice! It’s affordable, fun and a great event for the whole family to enjoy! If you’re looking to be outdoors, then head over to Victory Field for a fun minor league baseball game!

  1. A Day of Pampering

 Moms have a tough job and hardly ever get time to relax. Give that time and space to your mom this weekend and take her to a spa. Manicure, pedicure, massage, you name it are all great things for your mom to truly unwind and enjoy some time to be spoiled. While she’s getting pampered, run some errands for her to take some tasks off of her plate as well!

  1. Go to a Fancy Restaurant

 Good food and great company are sometimes all you need to honor your mom. Going out to a nice restaurant and having great conversations with your mom is a great way to express how much you care for her. Remember, let her order whatever she want’s because it's her day!
